Kim needs to learn skills that will benefit her as she moves into adulthood. She already has many social skills. She can go into a restaurant and order a meal with no problem. She knows to tip the waitress, but if she had a twenty dollar bill and a five dollar bill, she might leave the twenty as a tip and try to pay with the five.

Kim had an office job at the middle school. She put labels on newsletters for the secretary, had an ID and received actual money for her work. She received a "paycheck" and cashed it at the office. We provided the money for her pay and we will continue to do that if she is able to have a job this year.

Kim works well with animals and small children. She follows directions if there aren't too many steps involved. Once she learns a task correctly, she can be counted on to perform it correctly from then on.

She has fair social skills but may be overly affectionate to people, especially teachers, she likes. She knows it isn't appropriate to hug people in school, but may need to be reminded.
